Step 1: How to add an email account
1. In the ThunderBird program, under Set up an account, click on Messages

2. Enter anameand,the email account and passwordfor the account.

Enter the original account password, do not enter a new password
3. Then click Manual config

4. Onthis screen, you will be asked to choose between two protocols:
- POP3 configuration: allows you to download copies of the email messages to a local computer
- IMAP configuration: allows you to read the emails as they appear on the hosting server

Step 2: How to set up in POP or IMAP
POP3 configuration
5. In POP3, perform the settings below and to finish click Complete
- In the Server Name field enter one of the options:
- POP3 and SMTP: Insert your hosting address “mail. + the domain name (Ex: mail.seudominio.com.br)”
- In the fields for Portand SSL choose to use an SSL connection:
- SSL connection
- POP3: in the Port field enter the value 995and under SSL check SSL
- SMTP: in the Port field enter the value 465and under SSL check SSL
- In the Authentication field, for POP3 and SMTP select Normal password

6. In IMAP, perform the settings below and to finish click Complete
- In the Server Name field enter one of the options:
- IMAP and SMTP: Enter your hosting address “mail. + the domain name (Ex: mail.seudominio.com.br)”
- In the fields for Portand SSL choose to use an SSL connection:
- SSL connection
- IMAP: in the Port field enter the value 993and under SSL check SSL
- SMTP: in the Port field enter the value 465and under SSL check SSL
- In the Authentication field, for IMAP and SMTP select Normal password

Test! Send a new email message to check if the configuration you made is functional 🙂
