1. In the Outlook program, go to the Top menu and click File and then on the Information tab, click Add Account

 

2. Select the Manually define server settings or additional server types and click Advance:

 

3. Select the Internet mail option and then click Advance

 

4. Fill in the fields as indicated below and then click More Settings:

• User Information: enter your nameand your email account
• Server Information:
  • Choose whether to use POP or IMAP(Read the material on the differences of POP and IMAP)
  • In both fields enter the server name of the hosting “mail. + the domain (Ex: mail.seudominio.com.br)”
• Logon Information: enter your email account and the password linked

 

5. Click onAdvanced, configure the server ports as indicated below and then click Ok

Server Ports

• If you use IMAP, do the following configuration:
  • SSL connection: In IMAP enter the value 993and in SMTP enter 465– select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) and choose the SSL
• If using POP, do the following configuration:
  • SSL connection: in POP3 enter the value 995and in SMTP enter 465<- select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) and choose the SSL

  6. At the end, click Close
